The George Marshall Store Gallery, well known for its exhibitions of contemporary art, is located in beautiful York, Maine. Beyond its idyllic setting in an historic building on the York River, the Gallery has become a destination in itself. During the past twenty-five years, its high quality and compelling exhibitions have featured some of the regions finest established, as well as, rising artists. With its varied exhibition program of one-person exhibitions, group exhibitions, installations, and educational programs, the gallery appeals to a wide range of visitors. The Gallery will reopen on June 20th. Due to Covid-19 the exhibition season may be structured a bit differently, but the goal remains the same: to present high quality visual art in a beautiful historic setting. In order to manage the number of people in the gallery, visitation will be by appointment. As we get closer to the opening date we will post a link to a reservation program and you will also be able to schedule a visit by giving me a call.
Thanks to our friends at Wiggly Bridge Distillery, we have an ample supply of hand sanitizer and if you don’t have your own face covering, we will have one for you. Our protocols will be posted at the door and here. In lieu of and to augment personal visits, we will keep the gallery website up to date with images of works and links to additional information and social media sites.
I look forward to your visit – Mary Harding, Curator
